To a Happy Graduate

A few weeks ago my friend asked me to make a card for his friend's graduation and to include messages from her family. I was happy to do so, especially since my friend wanted the design to match one of the handmade graduation cards that I made for sale a couple months ago. I don't ever make the same card twice but I was delighted to remix that design seeing as it was a random idea that I came to love and was dying to sell. The beauty of my original Custom Poetry Greeting Card service is that it is just that, custom. So I will do something similar if requested but my aim is to keep it personal so that all my customers feels and know that they have a 'one of a kind' gift made from me, purchased with kindness by whomever gives it to them. Thus, I made a few alterations while still giving him what he wanted.

My favourite part of this card is the inside. I'm an advocate for education, graduating and praising others for their achievements so I take my poetry for these topics more seriously than some. Also, I was determined to make the contributing messages look authentic, as it would if they were handwritten and from the feedback that I received, my desires were met. I know that the emotional impact that this card had on the recipient was a group effort, the loving words from her supportive loved ones, the overall design and encouraging words in my poem and the idea of the friend we have in common to purchase it for her really makes this card more touching. Like my mother said to me "these are not just cards, they're gifts." I heard tears were involved so I did my job.
