I know my writes. I was born a Writer, a Writer of stories and poetry that later turned into scripts and most recently that of stage plays. My writing has expanded into food writing and can be found on my food blog Deevah's Cravings. I have also written for wedding vows and greeting cards.
I have been writing and performing poetry for over 20 years but only in my early twenties was I comfortable enough to share it with those who knew me best. I love to perform to strangers who are fans or curious audiences of the art, there's nothing like it. In 2009 I launched a showcase called Poetic Justice to stay connected with new audiences while letting my closest and dearest become familiar with my poetry. I organise and host the show, promoting some of the best underground acts on the circuit. FYI it has been on hiatus since 2013 while I focus on my production and publishing work between the time.

During Mental Health Awareness Month of 2021 I released #ILoveMyselfBecause, which is a quote book of self-empowering affirmations to evoke self-love, boost ones self-esteem and combat depression.
In August 2015 I released my debut book I'm All In which is a compilation of my romantic and sensual poems, of which followed on with a year-long book tour. By 2018 I adapted the book into a play. The play was a test-run, one woman show version of my "poetry musical" (as quoted and coined by moi) featured in Camden Fringe.
I am currently self-publishing my book series The Deevah Renaissance, which I am still writing and raising funds towards. In February 2014 I founded a fabulous service of Custom Poetry Greeting Cards™ alongside Infiniti Promotions as a Valentine's Day promotion. As it was very inspirational and therapeutic for me I decided to continue the service and expand my personalised poetry to all areas and occasions that hold value to giving someone a greeting card. This includes handmade designs as an option. I regularly perform at showcases, special events and weddings. I find weddings to be particularly special but for any Spoken Word Artist we know that there's nothing like the rawness of an open mic environment surrounded by lovers of the art.
