Performing for Women in Business

And that is so true. 

I always get involved with projects, businesses and individuals that do inspirational things, particularly for the people that maybe in great need or simply the most appreciative of the cause in question at the time. Thus, I have got involved with 2Inspire Network by being one of the performers at their business event taking place next week Saturday.

Ladies (and those that are 'female interest friendly'), Mumpreneurs and Entrepreneurs, I would like to encourage you to participate in this event, if you are not familiar with it already. It's the 2Inspire Network Ladies Day on the 28th June 11am-7pm at the Novotel Hotel in Greenwich. There will be workshops, seminars, NHS health checks, business support and shopping. It is a networking opportunity to promote your business, potential business or possibly even meet your future business partner. Furthermore, I will be performing my poetry on the day! 

I will also be promoting my bespoke Greeting Card service. This will be an all day event however, my performance will be 6pm-7pm.

No Breakfast at Infiniti But There Are Cards

Showing off one of my latest handmade creations. This is a special greeting card that I made for my Aunt's 50th Birthday, that naturally came with a very sentimental poem for the inside message (poem is blurred due to personal information). I did not expect for it to have such an emotive response, which I don't particularly anticipate anytime that I write for someone or perform at weddings but it is extremely heart-warming to hear or witness. I meant every word!

This is a one of a kind card, now I am in no way claiming originality over the theme as many of you should recognise that it is influenced by Tiffany & Co. However, it is an original handmade card of my mine that is not made in batches. Most of the cards that I make are 100% custom to what a customer has asked of me or custom to what I feel is appropriate for my recipient. If you would like to order something similar from me then I would be happy to meet that request.

Performance at Lipped Ink

It was a pleasure to do a surprise performance at Lipped Ink (The Poetry Café) last night by joining the open mic and performing one of my latest poems 'My Sermon, My Plea.' Please note that this passionate piece is less related to it's title by content and is just named as such due to it's delivery. I damn near take it to church with that one. You'll understand once you hear it. The audience was beautiful and they fully understood.

It was also a pleasure to hear all the versatile accents that hit the stage expressing their love for the art. And for my fellow Poets of which there are always familiar faces in this small world, it is always nice to be in your presence whether we see each other perform or just bump into one another at these events (specifically the one's who put art before ego). Catching up with old friends and friends and fellow artists is always enjoyable.
